How fees work
Swaps on the Synfin Launch App currently carry no Synfin service fee. The fee row in the quote details reads exactly "Synfin fee: 0".
The fee today: 0
- What you type is what the venue receives. No Synfin fee rides on top of your deposit and none is deducted anywhere: the amount you enter is the amount deposited, and the receive shown is the quote's net.
- The guaranteed minimum is the plain on-ledger floor. No fee adjusts it.
- Network and venue costs are separate. Canton network costs, any venue-side cost, and any fee your wallet itself charges are not Synfin fees; the quote details show venue-disclosed costs separately.
When a service fee applies
The published fee schedule declares a service fee rate of 0.20% (20 bps) of the swap's output value for the Launch App. That rate is not charged today. When a service fee applies, the exact amount is shown in the quote details before you sign, and this page will state it as a current charge.
- Shown before you sign, in Canton Coin, output-safe. Charged in Canton Coin, shown before you sign, never taken from your output.
- Returned when the swap does not complete. If the venue rejects or refunds your swap, the fee is returned.
Your output is protected either way
What protects the swap output itself is the guaranteed minimum, fee or no fee:
Enforced on-ledger: the swap cannot deliver below its floor and the fee is fixed before you sign. If the venue cannot meet the floor, the swap aborts and your funds stay in your wallet.
What the Synfin fee is not
- Not the network cost. Canton network costs and any venue-side cost are separate, and the quote details show them separately.
- Not a spread. Quotes are ranked by worst-case net receive after all fees (see how quotes are ranked); a Synfin service fee, when one applies, is a disclosed line, never hidden in the rate we report.
- Not the partner schema. Integrators building on the Synfin API have their own fee model (a service fee plus an optional partner-set fee with a disclosed split). That is documented on Earn with your fee and Partners, not here.
